On 19 July 1777, Jurey Teipel (or George Teeple, as it was written in the codicil) wrote the will transcribed below. On 26 July, he wrote a codicil, increasing his daughter Margaret's share to ten pounds. On 1 August, the will was proved and an inventory was made. The New Jersey Archives has summarized the wills in the Calendar of Wills 1771-1788, First Series, Volume XXXIV, 1931. The Genealogical Society of Salt Lake City, Utah filmed the will, codicil and inventory in 1968 under FHL Film 562,752. The transcription below carries the original spellings.
