George Teeple

NJ line, Hannah R10444, sol m. Hananah Montague 6 Mar 1783 at Bridgewater NJ and among those present were Elizabeth, Abraham, James and William Montague and John Teeple, sol d 27 May 1810 and his wid appl 22 Aug 1844 Montgomery Co NY aged 77, wid's bro James Montague aged 75 made aff'dt in 1844 in Schoharie C NY but was a resid of Charlestown in Montgomery Co NY, sol's bro John Teeple aged 84 made aff'dt in 1844 in Schoharie Co NY and had srvd with his bro George Teeple and he stated sol had d at Schoharie and his wid moved from there to Charleston NY in spring of 1844.

Comments:
The mention of George Teeple's brother, John, is one of the few great pieces of evidence linking early NJ Teeples. John's own application is below.
George Teeple's wife is commonly known as Hannah Montanye. Anne has a full copy of her pension application.
George Teeple's line is very well known.

Jacob Teeple

PA line, S16552, sol was b 19 Jun 1763 in Somerset Co NJ and he lived with his father (not named) in Northumberland Co PA at enl, he applied 27 Oct 1832 Clark Co IN and d there 7 Jul 1835 or 6 Jul 1836 leaving a widow Hannah, on 1 Apr 1853 an Alexander Teeple was adm'r of sol's estate

Comments:
Jacob Teeple's line is very well known.
There were at least two Jacob Teeples living in PA about the same time. This Jacob Teeple settled for life in Clark Co IN and the other founded the Mormon Teeples family of the west. Their early PA origins sometimes get mixed together.

John Teeple

NJ line, R10445, appl 22 Aug 1844, Schoharie Co NY aged 84, sol enl at Bridgewater NJ, sol was b 17 Feb 1760, William Montague aged 71 and James Montague aged 75 made aff'dts in 1844 in Schoharie NY.

John married Lena Vosseller and their line is very well known.
