Jacob Teeple was born 1799, possibly in PA. His parents, Philip and Catherine Teeple were said to be from NJ. By the early 1800s, the family settled in Upper Canada, near what is now Hamilton, Ontario and raised a family: Jacob, James, Luke, Elizabeth, Isaac, Nancy Ann, Sarah, Catherine, Christopher.

     Jacob married three times. With his first wife, Rachel Roszell, he had Mary, Rachel Jane, Abram, Catherine, Elizabeth, James, Sarah Ann, Phillip, Naomi Jane, Edward Wallen. He had no children by his next wives, Sarah Miles and Sarah Jane Schafer. He died 27 Apr 1872 in Glanford Twp, Wentworth Co.

     There are several researchers following one or other of Philip's or Jacob's children. So ask, and you can be directed appropriately.
